Victoria Secret Beauty
The women of Victoria Secret are some of the
most coveted women in the world. Their perfection is both
flawless and awe-inspiring, and yet something about their gorgeous,
effortless beauty still seems attainable by the everyday woman.
Hair and makeup for the Victoria Secret Angels is always
simple, uncontrived and is solely based on reckognizing the natural
beauty of a woman, and then heigtening that natural beauty with the
right makeup techniques and products. Since most of my requested makeup looks are from the
Victoria Secret runways, I've created a 3 part series of
recreations of some of their most popular looks with some instructions on "How To..." (do it
yourselves). Hope you enjoy!!!
Victoria Secret Look #3- Sleek and Sexy
I love this look because it's very girlie and oh so pretty! I used supermodel Candice Swanepoel as my subject to show that makeup can also be taken from cross cultural inspiration. If you choose this route however, remember to leave room for color translation- you'll have to adjust the colors that you see in the photo so that it reads similarly on your face despite your different skin tone.
1) Fill in brows so that they are strong, and clean- thicker brows are better here.
2) Use peachy tones on the cheeks for a soft, sun-kissed flush.
3) Lips are nudey-peach with a hint of pink- a matte or semi-matte finish is good.
4) Use a soft peach on your lid. Use a medium brown directly in the crease. Use a deeper peach (coppery-orange on darker skin tones) right over top of the brown in the crease and blend slightly above. You want to see the color on the eyes.
5) Add black liner from the beginning of the inner lashline to the outer corner of the eye. Wing liner out and upward very long. Gradually make that wing thicker until desired.
6) Use black liner to connect the outer bottom third of the lashline to the winged out liner. Make this very thick.
7) Use a soft highlight (light gold) on the inner tearduct.
8) Add loads of mascara to top and bottom lashes.

Victoria Secret Look#2- Soft and Smokey
This look is super sexy and ultra feminine. Have patience though- it's a bit trickier than it looks!
1) Softly fill in brows- they should have presence but still look natural
2) Use soft pinks on the cheeks for a hint of color
3) Lips are nudey-pink and glossy
4) Use ashy browns & greys as your eye shadow color palette. Two colors should suffice
5) Use the lighter eye shadow on the lid, and the deeper eye shadow in the crease and underneath the lower lashline
6) Gently pull the applied shadow at the outer corners of the eye upwards and outwards towards the ends of the eyebrows. Blend edges.
7) Line the top lashline only with black pencil
8) Use a white gold (darker skin) or white silver (lighter skin tones) to highlight the inner tearduct
9) Add lots of mascara to both upper and lower lashes
For those who missed it, here's the 1st part of the 3 part Victoria Secret series...
Victoria Secret Look#1- Fresh and Natural
This look is created by simply exaggerating all features.
1) Fill in brows to perfection- clean and strong is the goal
2) Use shadows that are neutral but close to your natural skin tone
3) Warm coral blush added to apples of the cheeks
4) Black liner thinly applied but rimming the entire eye
5) Nudey-brownish lipstick
6) Lots of mascara and individual clusters added to the outside corners of the eye.
7) Highlight on the inside tearduct, and browbone
